    12But Peter got up and ran to the tomb. Stooping to look in, he saw the linen cloths lying there by themselves, and he went away, wondering what had happened.

    13On that same day, two of them were walking to a village named Emmaus, which was about seven miles from Jerusalem.

    14They were talking with each other about all the things that had happened.

    15As they were talking and discussing, Jesus himself came near and began to walk with them.

    16But their eyes were restrained, so they did not recognize him.

    17He asked them, "What are you discussing as you walk along?" They stopped, looking sad.

    37They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost.

    38He said to them, "Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts?"

    1On the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, carrying the spices they had prepared, and some other women were with them.

    2They found the stone rolled away from the tomb.

    3But when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.

    4While they were perplexed about this, suddenly, two men stood by them in dazzling garments.

    5The women were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why are you looking for the living one among the dead?"

    6He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee,
