Then I said, 'Lord, the God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments,

3 So I turned my attention to the Lord God, seeking Him in prayer and petitions, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes.

4 When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned, fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven.
31 Still, in Your great mercies, You did not utterly destroy them or abandon them, for You are a gracious and merciful God.
32 Now therefore, our God, the great, mighty, and awesome God who keeps His covenant and steadfast love, do not let the hardship that has come upon us—on our kings, leaders, priests, prophets, ancestors, and on all Your people, from the days of the kings of Assyria until today—seem insignificant to You.
33 You are righteous in all that has happened to us, because You have acted faithfully while we have acted wickedly.
10 They are your servants and your people, whom you redeemed by your great strength and your mighty hand.
11 O Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name. Grant success to your servant today and show him mercy in the presence of this man. I was the cupbearer to the king.
4 The king said to me, "What is it you want?" Then I prayed to the God of heaven,
10 Now it is in my heart to make a covenant with the LORD, the God of Israel, so that His fierce anger may turn away from us.
15 Now, O Lord our God, who brought Your people out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand and made a name for Yourself that endures to this day, we have sinned and acted wickedly.
16 O Lord, in keeping with all Your righteous acts, let Your anger and wrath turn away from Your city Jerusalem, Your holy mountain. For because of our sins and the iniquities of our ancestors, Jerusalem and Your people have become an object of scorn to all those around us.
17 Now, our God, hear the prayer and petitions of Your servant. For Your sake, Lord, let Your face shine on Your desolate sanctuary.
18 Incline Your ear, my God, and hear. Open Your eyes and see our desolations and the city that bears Your name. For we are not presenting our pleas before You on account of our righteousness, but because of Your great mercy.
19 Lord, hear! Lord, forgive! Lord, pay attention and act! Do not delay, for Your own sake, my God, because Your city and Your people bear Your name.
20 While I was speaking, praying, confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my petition before the LORD my God concerning the holy mountain of my God,
14 He said: 'LORD, God of Israel, there is no God like You in heaven or on earth, keeping Your covenant and showing lovingkindness to Your servants who walk before You with all their heart.
39 then hear from heaven, Your dwelling place, their prayer and their supplications. Uphold their cause and forgive Your people who have sinned against You.
40 Now, my God, may Your eyes be open and Your ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place.
19 'Yet have regard for the prayer and the plea of Your servant, LORD my God, to listen to the cry and the prayer which Your servant prays before You.
23 At that time, I pleaded with the LORD,
24 ‘O Lord GOD, You have begun to show Your servant Your greatness and Your strong hand. For what god is there in heaven or on earth who can do the deeds and mighty works You do?’
23 He said: 'LORD, God of Israel, there is no God like You in heaven above or on earth below—keeping Your covenant and showing steadfast love to Your servants who walk before You with all their heart.'
28 'Yet regard the prayer of Your servant and his supplication, LORD my God. Listen to the cry and the prayer that Your servant prays before You today.'
58 May He turn our hearts to Him, to walk in all His ways and to keep His commands, statutes, and judgments, which He gave to our ancestors.
59 May these words of mine, which I have prayed before the LORD, be near to the LORD our God day and night, so that He may uphold the cause of His servant and the cause of His people Israel according to each day’s need.
10 'But now, our God, what can we say after this? For we have forsaken the commandments'
5 At the time of the evening sacrifice, I arose from my self-abasement, with my garment and robe torn, and I knelt with my hands spread out to the Lord my God.
6 I said, 'My God, I am ashamed and humiliated to lift my face to you, my God, because our sins are higher than our heads, and our guilt has reached the heavens.'
22 For I was ashamed to ask the king for soldiers and horsemen to protect us from enemies along the way, since we had told the king, 'The hand of our God is favorable toward all who seek Him, but His power and wrath are against all who abandon Him.'
23 So we fasted and prayed to our God about this, and He answered our prayer.
9 He said to them, "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: You sent me to present your petition before Him.
26 I prayed to the LORD and said, 'O Lord GOD, do not destroy your people, your inheritance, whom you redeemed through your greatness and brought out of Egypt with a strong hand.
3 saying, "Please, LORD, remember how I have walked before You in truth, wholeheartedly, and have done what is good in Your eyes." And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
27 Blessed be the Lord, the God of our ancestors, who put such a thing as this into the heart of the king, to beautify the house of the Lord in Jerusalem.
28 And who has shown favor to me before the king, his counselors, and all his powerful officials. I was strengthened because the hand of the Lord my God was upon me, and I gathered leaders from Israel to go up with me.
3 He said, "Please, LORD, remember how I have walked before You faithfully and with a wholehearted devotion, and how I have done what is good in Your eyes." And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
17 Now may the Lord's strength be displayed, just as you have declared:
13 As it is written in the Law of Moses, all this disaster has come upon us, yet we have not sought the favor of the LORD our God by turning from our sins and gaining insight into Your truth.
9 Now plead with God to be gracious to us. Will he accept you? This offering came from your hands. How can he be pleased with you? says the LORD of Hosts.
22 Then I commanded the Levites to purify themselves and to guard the gates in order to keep the Sabbath day holy. Remember me also for this, my God, and show mercy to me according to your great love.
6 He said: 'LORD, the God of our ancestors, are you not the God in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. In your hand are power and might, and no one can withstand you.'
15 And Hezekiah prayed to the LORD, saying:
6 The LORD said to me, ‘Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying: Listen to the words of this covenant and do them.’
1 While Ezra was praying and confessing, weeping, and falling facedown in front of the house of God, a very large assembly of Israelites—men, women, and children—gathered around him, because the people were weeping bitterly.
19 Remember me with favor, O my God, for all that I have done for these people.
