27but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.
5But if our unrighteousness highlights the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unjust for bringing His wrath on us? (I am speaking in human terms.)

32Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things are worthy of death, they not only continue to do these things but also approve of those who practice them.
15to execute judgment on all and to convict all the ungodly of all their ungodly deeds they have committed, and of all the harsh words that ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.
2I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but it is not based on true knowledge.
3For they are ignorant of the righteousness of God and seek to establish their own; they have not submitted to God’s righteousness.
15They killed both the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and they drove us out. They do not please God and are hostile to everyone.
16They forbid us to speak to the Gentiles so that they may be saved. In this way, they constantly fill up the measure of their sins. But the wrath of God has come upon them fully.
5Then He speaks to them in His anger and terrifies them in His wrath:
13They will be paid back with harm for the harm they have done. They consider it a pleasure to indulge in carousing during the day. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions while they feast with you.
8and, 'a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense.' They stumble because they disobey the word, as they were determined to do.
6And we are ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete.
36The one who believes in the Son has eternal life. But the one who disobeys the Son will not see life; instead, the wrath of God remains on him.
22What if God, wishing to show his wrath and to make his power known, endured with much patience objects of wrath prepared for destruction?
26Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,
24Let their eyes be darkened so they cannot see, and their bodies always shake and tremble.
2Therefore, whoever resists authority is resisting what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.
3In their greed, they will exploit you with deceptive words. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.
9We also know that the law is not made for the righteous but for the lawless and rebellious, the ungodly and sinners, the unholy and profane, those who strike their fathers and mothers, and murderers,
11See what earnestness this godly sorrow has produced in you! What eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what longing, what zeal, what readiness to see justice done! At every point you have proved yourselves to be pure in this matter.
25Gently instruct those who oppose you, in the hope that God might grant them repentance, leading them to a knowledge of the truth.
3They will be unloving, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, and hostile to what is good.
11Woe to them! For they have gone the way of Cain, rushed headlong for profit into Balaam’s error, and perished in Korah’s rebellion.
4They are surprised that you do not join them in their reckless, wild living, and they heap abuse on you.
22An angry man stirs up strife, and a hot-tempered man commits many transgressions.
