14If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you; for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you: on their part he is spoken of as evil, but on your part he is glorified.
4So that we ourselves boast of you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure:
5Which is a clear sign of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer:
6Nor did we seek glory from men, neither from you nor from others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ.
17For we are not like many who corrupt the word of God; but as of sincerity, as from God, we speak in the sight of God in Christ.
21I speak concerning reproach, as though we were weak. But in whatever anyone is bold—I speak foolishly—I am bold also.
3Have mercy upon us, O LORD, have mercy upon us, for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.
12If others are partakers of this right over you, should not we even more? Nevertheless, we have not used this right, but endure all things lest we hinder the gospel of Christ.
