17You therefore, beloved, seeing you know these things beforehand, beware lest you also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.
2In which in times past you walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience:
3Among whom also we all had our conduct in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
15That you may be blameless and harmless, children of God, without fault, in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world;
4By which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
5And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
6And to knowledge self-control; and to self-control patience; and to patience godliness;
21Therefore lay aside all filthiness and excess of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
4To an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled, which does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,
7In all things showing yourself a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, dignity, sincerity,
8For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
17But, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ:
4And, you fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
2While they observe your pure conduct with reverence.
14Not giving heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men who turn from the truth.
8Whom having not seen you love; in whom, though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,

17Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
