6From which some, having strayed, have turned aside to idle talk,
18And know His will, and approve the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;

3If anyone teaches otherwise, and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness;
4He is proud, knowing nothing, but obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions,
5Useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.
2For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.
3For being ignorant of God's righteousness and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they have not submitted to the righteousness of God.
10For there are many insubordinate, both idle talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision,
11Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole households, teaching things they ought not, for the sake of dishonest gain.
10But these speak evil of whatever they do not know; and whatever they know naturally, like brute beasts, in these things they corrupt themselves.
14Not giving heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men who turn from the truth.
49But this crowd that does not know the law is accursed.
13For neither do they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, so that they may boast in your flesh.
9But avoid foolish disputes, genealogies, contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and useless.
22Professing to be wise, they became fools,
14Remind them of these things, charging them before the Lord not to argue about words to no profit, to the ruin of the hearers.
16They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work.
7What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not. Indeed, I would not have known sin except through the law: for I would not have known lust unless the law had said, 'You shall not covet.'
21Tell me, you who desire to be under the law, do you not hear the law?
8How do you say, We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us? Behold, certainly in vain he made it; the pen of the scribes is in vain.
9The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: behold, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom is in them?
1My brothers, do not be many teachers, knowing that we shall receive the greater judgment.
4Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they do not know the way of the LORD, nor the judgment of their God.
5Evil people do not understand judgment, but those who seek the LORD understand all things.
2And if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know.
12But these, like natural brute beasts made to be caught and destroyed, speak evil of things they do not understand, and will utterly perish in their own corruption;
4Nor give attention to fables and endless genealogies, which cause questions rather than godly edification which is in faith, so do.
18For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through wantonness, those who have barely escaped from those who live in error.
12For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God; you have come to need milk and not solid food.
20Brethren, do not be children in understanding; however, in malice be infants, but in understanding be mature.
21In the law it is written: With men of other tongues and other lips I will speak to this people, and yet for all that they will not hear me, says the Lord.
16These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage.
17But, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ:
20Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
7However, in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.
4Wherein they think it strange that you do not run with them in the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
16But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness.
17'And the way of peace they have not known:'
16The former preach Christ from selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my chains:
9What then? Are we better than they? Not at all: for we have already charged both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;
19These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, having not the Spirit.
3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, they will gather to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
9But they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifested to all, as theirs also was.
13For it is not the hearers of the law who are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
