18Then they went through the wilderness, and bypassed the land of Edom and the land of Moab, and came by the east side of the land of Moab, and camped on the other side of Arnon, but did not enter the border of Moab: for Arnon was the border of Moab.
19And Israel sent messengers to Sihon king of the Amorites, the king of Heshbon; and Israel said to him, Let us pass, we pray you, through your land to my place.
26And I sent messengers out of the wilderness of Kedemoth to Sihon king of Heshbon with words of peace, saying,
25I pray you, let me cross over and see the good land that is beyond the Jordan, that good hill country, and Lebanon.
8And when we passed by from our brethren, the children of Esau, who dwelt in Seir, through the way of the plain from Elath and from Ezion-geber, we turned and passed by the way of the wilderness of Moab.
9And the LORD said unto me, Do not distress the Moabites, nor contend with them in battle; for I will not give you any of their land for a possession, because I have given Ar to the children of Lot for a possession.

14Let my lord, I pray you, pass over before his servant, and I will lead on softly, according to the pace of the cattle that go before me and the children are able to endure, until I come to my lord in Seir.
17that the LORD spoke unto me, saying,
18You are to pass through Ar, the coast of Moab, this day.
8And he said, "Which way shall we go up?" And he answered, "The way through the wilderness of Edom."
30And he said to him, I will not go; but I will depart to my own land, and to my kindred.
31And he said, Do not leave us, I pray you; for you know how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and you may be to us instead of eyes.
7Turn, and take your journey, and go to the mountain of the Amorites, and to all the places near there, in the plain, in the hills, and in the valley, and in the south, and by the sea, to the land of the Canaanites, and to Lebanon, to the great river, the river Euphrates.
19And when we departed from Horeb, we went through all that great and terrible wilderness, which you saw by the way of the mountain of the Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us; and we came to Kadesh Barnea.
9For so was it commanded me by the word of the LORD, saying, Eat no bread, nor drink water, nor return by the same way that you came.
4And command the people, saying, You are to pass through the coast of your brethren, the children of Esau, who dwell in Seir, and they shall be afraid of you; take good heed to yourselves therefore.
5Do not meddle with them; for I will not give you any of their land, not even a foot's breadth, because I have given Mount Seir to Esau as a possession.
24Rise up, take your journey, and cross over the river Arnon; behold, I have given into your hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land; begin to possess it and engage him in battle.
22And every one of you came near to me, and said, Let us send men before us, and they shall search out the land for us, and bring us back word of the way we must go up and of the cities we will come to.
40But as for you, turn, and take your journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red Sea.
32You shall observe to do therefore as the LORD your God has commanded you: you shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.
16And he said, I may not return with you, nor go in with you: nor will I eat bread or drink water with you in this place:
17For it was said to me by the word of the LORD, You shall eat no bread nor drink water there, nor return to go by the way that you came.
12And he said, Let us take our journey, and let us go, and I will go before you.

37Only to the land of the children of Ammon you did not come, nor to any place of the river Jabbok, nor to the cities in the mountains, nor to whatever the LORD our God forbade us.
