8Therefore, though I might be very bold in Christ to command you to do what is fitting,
7Therefore, brothers, we were comforted concerning you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:
1For I wish that you knew what great conflict I have for you, and for those at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
9For we are glad when we are weak, and you are strong; and this also we wish, even your perfection.
8For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed beyond measure, above strength, so much that we despaired even of life.
1For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles,
5For this reason, when I could no longer endure it, I sent to know about your faith, lest by some means the tempter had tempted you, and our labor might be in vain.
13But rejoice, since you are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.
3And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces patience;
11Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joy;
15Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and love for all the saints,
16Do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:
12That is, that I may be encouraged together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.
