19 Listen now to my voice; I will give you counsel, and God will be with you. Be for the people a representative to God, that you may bring the causes to God.
23 If you do this thing, and God so commands you, then you will be able to endure, and all this people will go to their place in peace.
24 So Moses listened to the voice of his father-in-law and did all that he said.
25 And Moses chose able men out of all Israel, and made them heads over the people, rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.
26 And they judged the people at all times; the hard cases they brought to Moses, but every small matter they judged themselves.
27 And Moses let his father-in-law depart, and he went his way to his own land.
1 When Jethro, the priest of Midian, Moses' father-in-law, heard of all that God had done for Moses and for His people Israel, and how the LORD had brought Israel out of Egypt,
2 Then Jethro, Moses' father-in-law, took Zipporah, Moses' wife, after he had sent her back,

10 Come now therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh, that you may bring forth my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.
11 And Moses said to God, Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?
4 And Moses cried out to the LORD, saying, What shall I do with this people? They are almost ready to stone me.
16 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
15 When Pharaoh heard of this, he sought to kill Moses. But Moses fled from Pharaoh and dwelt in the land of Midian, and he sat down by a well.
3 And Moses went up to God, and the LORD called to him out of the mountain, saying, This is what you shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel:
31 When Moses saw it, he marveled at the sight; and as he drew near to observe, the voice of the Lord came to him,
28 And Moses said, Hereby you shall know that the LORD has sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of my own will.
1 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
17 And Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the lower part of the mount.
