24 And it shall come to pass, that instead of a sweet smell there shall be stench; instead of a sash, a rope; instead of well-styled hair, baldness; instead of a rich robe, a binding of sackcloth; and branding instead of beauty.
35 Therefore, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD;
1 How has the Lord covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in His anger, and cast down from heaven to the earth the beauty of Israel, and not remembered His footstool in the day of His anger!
39 And I will also give you into their hand, and they shall throw down your eminent place, and shall break down your high places; they shall strip you also of your clothes, and shall take your beautiful jewels, and leave you naked and bare.
11 In that day you shall not be ashamed for all your deeds, wherein you have transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of you those that rejoice in your pride, and you shall no more be haughty because of my holy mountain.
13 Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion; for I will make your horn iron, and I will make your hoofs bronze, and you shall beat in pieces many people, and I will consecrate their gain to the LORD, and their substance to the Lord of the whole earth.
12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, those who lead you cause you to err, and destroy the way of your paths.
15 This is the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none besides me: how has she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! Everyone that passes by her shall hiss, and shake his hand.
9 Rise up, you women who are at ease; hear my voice, you careless daughters; give ear to my speech.
4 The ways of Zion mourn, because none come to the solemn feasts: all her gates are desolate: her priests sigh, her virgins are afflicted, and she is in bitterness.
8 Therefore, the wrath of the LORD was upon Judah and Jerusalem, and He has delivered them to trouble, to astonishment, and to hissing, as you see with your eyes.
11 I adorned you also with ornaments, and I put bracelets on your hands, and a chain on your neck.
