Jeremiah 10:2
Thus says the LORD, Do not learn the way of the heathen, and do not be dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

30Take heed to yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you; and that you do not enquire after their gods, asking, How did these nations serve their gods? I will do likewise.

7And do not be like your fathers, and like your brethren, who trespassed against the LORD God of their fathers, who therefore gave them up to desolation, as you see.
2And they will spread them before the sun, the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, whom they have served, after whom they have walked, whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped. They will not be gathered nor buried; they will be dung upon the face of the earth.
4Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets proclaimed, saying, Thus says the LORD of hosts: Turn now from your evil ways and from your evil deeds. But they did not hear nor listen to Me, says the LORD.
6Therefore You have forsaken Your people, the house of Jacob, because they are replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves with the children of strangers.
31Do not turn to those who have familiar spirits, nor seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.
34To this day they continue practicing their former habits: they do not fear the LORD, nor do they follow his statutes, or his ordinances, or the law and commandment which the LORD commanded the children of Jacob, whom he named Israel.
35The LORD made a covenant with them, and commanded them, saying, You shall not fear other gods, nor bow yourselves to them, nor serve them, nor sacrifice to them.
7That you do not come among these nations, those that remain among you; neither make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause anyone to swear by them, neither serve them, nor bow yourselves down to them:
10Therefore the heavens above you withhold the dew, and the earth withholds its fruit.
12And you shall know that I am the LORD: for you have not walked in my statutes, nor executed my judgments, but have done according to the ways of the nations that are around you.
11Get out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.
17Do you not see what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?
3and has gone and served other gods and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded,
6And do not go after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, and do not provoke me to anger with the works of your hands; and I will do you no harm.'
7Thus says the LORD of hosts: Consider your ways.
7Namely, of the gods of the people which are around you, near to you, or far off from you, from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth;
10The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble, the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.
6And those that have turned back from the LORD; and those that have not sought the LORD, nor inquired for Him.
35But they were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works.
18That they teach you not to do according to all their abominations, which they have done for their gods; so you would sin against the LORD your God.
3You shall not do according to the practices of the land of Egypt, where you lived; and you shall not do according to the practices of the land of Canaan, where I bring you; you shall not walk in their ordinances.
17Gather up your wares out of the land, O inhabitant of the fortress.
8For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Do not let your prophets and your diviners, who are among you, deceive you, nor listen to your dreams which you cause to be dreamed.
5For thus says the LORD, Do not enter the house of mourning, nor go to lament or bemoan them, for I have taken away my peace from this people, says the LORD, even lovingkindness and mercies.
29For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which you have desired, and you shall be confounded for the gardens that you have chosen.
8For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, says the LORD.
21Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; who have eyes, and see not; who have ears, and hear not:
5Thus says the LORD; Cursed is the man that trusts in man, and makes flesh his strength, and whose heart departs from the LORD.
10Go up upon her walls, and destroy; but do not make a full end: take away her battlements; for they are not the LORD'S.
