The king asked, "Is the hand of Joab with you in all of this?" The woman answered, "As surely as you live, my lord the king, it is true. Your servant Joab instructed me and put all these words into the mouth of your servant."

21 But Ittai answered the king, 'As surely as the LORD lives and as my lord the king lives, wherever my lord the king may be—whether for death or for life—there your servant will be.'
12 But the man replied to Joab, 'Even if I were to receive a thousand pieces of silver in my hand, I would not dare to harm the king’s son. For we all heard the king command you, Abishai, and Ittai to protect the young man Absalom for his sake.'
13 'If I had acted treacherously against my own life, nothing is hidden from the king, and you yourself would have kept your distance from me.'
27 Joab answered, 'As surely as God lives, if you had not spoken, the people would have continued pursuing their brothers until morning.'
26 Now, my lord, as surely as the Lord lives and as you live, the Lord has kept you from shedding blood and avenging yourself with your own hand. May your enemies and those intent on harming my lord be as foolish as Nabal.
27 Now let this gift that your servant has brought to my lord be given to the young men who follow my lord.
28 Please forgive the offense of your servant, for the Lord will certainly make a lasting dynasty for my lord, because my lord fights the Lord’s battles, and no wrongdoing will be found in you as long as you live.
4 And you will ensure that the LORD fulfills His promise to me, saying, 'If your sons are careful to walk before Me in truth with all their heart and soul, you will never fail to have a man on the throne of Israel.'
30 The king said, 'Stand aside and wait here.' So he stepped aside and stood there.
30 When Benaiah reached the tent of the LORD, he said to Joab, 'The king says, “Come out.”' But Joab replied, 'No, I will die here.' So Benaiah went back to the king and reported, 'This is how Joab answered me.'
31 The king said to him, 'Do as he says. Strike him down and bury him, and so remove from me and my father's house the guilt of the blood that Joab shed without cause.
21 When the woman came to Saul and saw that he was greatly distressed, she said to him, "Behold, your servant has obeyed you. I have taken my life in my hands and done as you requested.
19 Now, may my lord the king please hear the words of his servant. If the LORD has incited you against me, may He accept an offering. But if men have done it, may they be cursed before the LORD, because they have driven me out today to prevent me from having a share in the LORD's inheritance, saying, 'Go, serve other gods.'
30 When the Lord has fulfilled for my lord all the good things he promised and has appointed you ruler over Israel,
