Just say the word, and my servant will be healed.' 9 'For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. • Luke 7:1-9 : 1 After Jesus had finished all His teachings for the people to hear, He entered Capernaum. 2 Now a centurion had a servant whom he valued highly, but the servant was sick and near death. 3 When the centurion heard about Jesus, he sent some Jewish elders to Him, asking Him to come and heal his servant. 4 When they came to Jesus, they earnestly pleaded with Him, saying, 'He is worthy for You to do this for him.' 5 'For he loves our nation, and he built our synagogue for us.' 6 So Jesus went with them. When He was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to say to Him, 'Lord, do not trouble Yourself, for I am not worthy to have You come under my roof.' 7 That is why I did not consider myself worthy to come to You. But speak a word, and my servant will be healed. 8 'For I also am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I say to one, "Go," and he goes; and to another, "Come," and he comes; and to my servant, "Do this," and he does it.' 9 When Jesus heard this, He marveled at him. Turning to the crowd following Him, He said, 'I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such great faith.' 10 When those who had been sent returned to the house, they found the servant well.
