44When Your people go out to fight against their enemies, wherever You send them, and when they pray to the LORD in the direction of the city You have chosen and the temple I have built for Your name,
33then hear from heaven, from Your dwelling place. Do according to all that the foreigner asks of You, so that all the peoples of the earth may know Your name and fear You, as Your people Israel do, and may know that this house I have built is called by Your name.
34When Your people go out to war against their enemies, wherever You send them, and they pray to You toward this city which You have chosen and the house I have built for Your name,
35then hear from heaven their prayer and their plea, and uphold their cause.
24If Your people Israel are defeated before an enemy because they have sinned against You, and they turn back to You and confess Your name, pray, and make supplication before You in this house,
25then hear from heaven and forgive the sin of Your people Israel, and bring them back to the land You gave to them and to their ancestors.
26When the heavens are shut up and there is no rain because they have sinned against You, and they pray toward this place, confess Your name, and turn from their sins because You have afflicted them,
18'But will God indeed dwell with mankind on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heavens cannot contain You, much less this house that I have built!
19'Yet have regard for the prayer and the plea of Your servant, LORD my God, to listen to the cry and the prayer which Your servant prays before You.
20'May Your eyes be open toward this house day and night, toward the place where You said You would put Your name, to listen to the prayer Your servant prays toward this place.
21'Hear the supplications of Your servant and of Your people Israel when they pray toward this place. Hear from heaven, Your dwelling place, and when You hear, forgive.
38And when they return to You with all their heart and soul in the land of their captivity where they were taken, and they pray toward the land You gave to their ancestors, the city You have chosen, and the house I have built for Your name,
39then hear from heaven, Your dwelling place, their prayer and their supplications. Uphold their cause and forgive Your people who have sinned against You.
40Now, my God, may Your eyes be open and Your ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place.
8They have lived in it and have built in it a sanctuary for your name, saying,
9'If disaster comes upon us—whether the sword, judgment, plague, or famine—we will stand before this temple and in your presence (for your name is in this temple) and cry out to you in our distress, and you will hear us and save us.'
33When Your people Israel are defeated by an enemy because they have sinned against You, and if they turn back to You, confess Your name, pray, and plead with You in this house,
34then hear from heaven, forgive the sin of Your people Israel, and bring them back to the land You gave to their ancestors.
31so that they may fear You and walk in Your ways all the days they live on the face of the earth, which You gave to our ancestors.
27'But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Even the heavens, the highest heavens, cannot contain You. How much less this house that I have built!'
28'Yet regard the prayer of Your servant and his supplication, LORD my God. Listen to the cry and the prayer that Your servant prays before You today.'
29'May Your eyes be open toward this house day and night, toward the place of which You said, “My name shall be there,” to hear the prayer that Your servant prays toward this place.'
30'Hear the supplication of Your servant and of Your people Israel when they pray toward this place. Hear from heaven, Your dwelling place, and when You hear, forgive.'
29and when a prayer or plea is made by anyone among Your people Israel—each aware of their own affliction and pain, and spreading out their hands toward this house—
38and when a prayer or plea is made by anyone among all Your people Israel—being aware of the afflictions in their own hearts and spreading out their hands toward this house—
48and if they turn back to You with all their heart and soul in the land of their enemies who took them captive, and pray to You in the direction of the land You gave to their ancestors, the city You have chosen, and the temple I have built for Your name,
49then hear their prayer and their plea from heaven, Your dwelling place, and uphold their cause.
52May Your eyes be open to Your servant’s plea and to the plea of Your people Israel, and may You listen to them whenever they call to You.
15Those who are far away will come and help build the temple of the LORD. Then you will know that the LORD of Hosts has sent me to you. This will happen if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God.
16LORD our God, all this abundance that we have provided to build you a house for your holy name comes from your hand, and all of it belongs to you.
3The LORD said to him, 'I have heard your prayer and your plea that you made before Me. I have consecrated this temple you have built by putting My name there forever, and My eyes and My heart will always be there.'
22And many peoples and strong nations will come to seek the LORD of Hosts in Jerusalem and to entreat the favor of the LORD.
6And to the foreigners who join themselves to the LORD to serve Him, to love the name of the LORD, and to be His servants—all who keep the Sabbath without profaning it and who hold firmly to my covenant—
7'I will bring them to my holy mountain and make them joyful in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on my altar, for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.'
9but if you return to me and obey my commands, then even if your exiled people are at the farthest horizon, I will gather them from there and bring them to the place I have chosen as a dwelling for my Name.'
26May your name be magnified forever, saying, 'The LORD of hosts is God over Israel,' and may the house of your servant David be established before you.
27For you, O LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, have revealed this to your servant, saying, 'I will build you a house.' Therefore your servant has found courage to pray this prayer to you.
15Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.
16I have chosen and consecrated this house so that My name may be there forever. My eyes and My heart will always be there.
6let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying before you day and night for your servants, the people of Israel. I confess the sins we Israelites, including myself and my father’s family, have committed against you.
13And I will dwell among the people of Israel and will not forsake my people Israel.
2David commanded the gathering of the foreigners who were in the land of Israel, and he appointed stonecutters to prepare dressed stones to build the house of God.
12Then Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in front of the entire assembly of Israel and spread out his hands.
3Then the king turned around and blessed the entire assembly of Israel, while all the assembly of Israel stood.
20then I will uproot you from My land that I have given you, and I will reject this temple I have consecrated for My name. I will make it a byword and an object of ridicule among all peoples.
21This temple, which was so exalted, will be appalling to every passerby who sees it. They will say, 'Why has the LORD done such a thing to this land and to this temple?'
