14We are not overextending ourselves, as though we had not reached you. For we were the first to come to you with the gospel of Christ.
10You are witnesses, and so is God, of how devoutly, righteously, and blamelessly we conducted ourselves among you who believe.
4But just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak—not to please people, but to please God, who examines our hearts.
5For we never used words of flattery, as you know, nor did we put forth a pretext for greed—God is our witness.
6We did not seek glory from people, neither from you nor from others.
9It was not that we lack the right to receive support, but we wanted to offer ourselves as an example for you to imitate.
24Not that we lord it over your faith, but we are fellow workers for your joy, because it is by faith that you stand firm.
