9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise as in a foreign land, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, heirs with him of the same promise.
4 Then the word of the LORD came to him: "This man will not be your heir, but a son coming from your own body will be your heir."
5 He took him outside and said, "Look up at the sky and count the stars, if you are able to count them." Then He added, "So will your descendants be."
3 Then the LORD said to Jacob, 'Return to the land of your ancestors and to your family, and I will be with you.'

14 The LORD said to Abram after Lot had separated from him, "Lift up your eyes from where you are and look to the north, south, east, and west.
3 He journeyed from the Negev as far as Bethel, to the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Ai.
