Your eyes have seen what the LORD did at Baal Peor; for every man who followed Baal Peor, the LORD your God destroyed him from among you.

15So be very careful for your own lives, because you did not see any form on the day the LORD spoke to you at Horeb from the midst of the fire.

23Be careful not to forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which He made with you, and not to make for yourselves a carved image in the form of anything He has forbidden you.
17Make sure there is no man or woman, family, or tribe among you whose heart turns away today from the LORD our God to go and serve the gods of these nations. Make sure there is no root among you that produces poisonous and bitter fruit.
16I saw that you had sinned against the LORD your God. You had made a molten calf for yourselves. You had quickly turned aside from the way the LORD had commanded you.
21At that time, I also commanded Joshua, saying, 'Your own eyes have seen everything the LORD your God has done to these two kings. The LORD will do the same to all the kingdoms where you are crossing over.'
3But to this day, the LORD has not given you a heart to understand, eyes to see, or ears to hear.

19And be careful not to lift your eyes toward the heavens and see the sun, the moon, and the stars—all the host of heaven—and be led astray to bow down to them and worship them, things the LORD your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven.
15Indeed, the LORD's hand was against them, eliminating them from within the camp until they were all destroyed.
4No Ammonite or Moabite may enter the assembly of the LORD, even to the tenth generation; none of their descendants may ever enter the assembly of the LORD.
16For anyone who does these things, anyone who deals dishonestly, is detestable to the LORD your God.
20You must not mistreat or oppress a foreigner, for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt.
16If you violate the covenant of the LORD your God, which He commanded you, and go and serve other gods and bow down to them, the anger of the LORD will burn against you, and you will quickly perish from the good land He has given you.
2and when the LORD your God delivers them over to you and you defeat them, you must devote them to complete destruction. Do not make a covenant with them or show them any mercy.
5And what He did for you in the wilderness until you reached this place.
34Or has any god ever tried to take for himself a nation from within another nation, by trials, by signs, by wonders, by war, by a mighty hand, by an outstretched arm, and by great terrors, as the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?
