  • 21People have heard my groaning, but there is no one to comfort me. All my enemies have heard of my trouble; they are glad that you have done it. Bring the day you have announced, so they may become like me.

  • 4Therefore I said, 'Turn away from me, let me weep bitterly. Do not try to comfort me concerning the destruction of my people.'

  • 18Together the prisoners are at ease; they hear not the voice of the oppressor.

  • 25For who can eat or who can enjoy life apart from Him?

  • 4Therefore, the law is paralyzed, and justice never goes forth. For the wicked hem in the righteous, so justice comes out distorted.

  • 12I know that there is nothing better for people than to rejoice and to do good while they live.

  • 15Then I said in my heart, 'What happens to the fool will also happen to me. So why have I been so very wise?' And I concluded in my heart, 'This too is meaningless.'
