11"Go and speak to Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, that he may let the Israelites leave his land."
24Then Gideon said to them, 'I have one request—that each of you give me an earring from your share of the plunder.' (It was the custom of the Ishmaelites to wear gold earrings.)
25They answered, 'We will gladly give them.' So they spread out a garment, and each man threw a gold earring from his share of the plunder onto it.
26The weight of the gold earrings that Gideon had requested was seventeen hundred shekels, apart from the crescent ornaments, the pendants, the purple robes worn by the kings of Midian, and the chains on the necks of their camels.
24So I told them, 'Whoever has any gold jewelry, take it off.' They gave it to me, and I threw it into the fire, and out came this calf!"
31During the night, Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, 'Get up, leave my people, you and the Israelites! Go, worship the LORD as you have requested.'
32'Take your flocks and herds, as you have said, and go. And also bless me.'

13But Moses said to the LORD, "The Egyptians will hear about it! By your power you brought these people up from among them.
5and said to Moses, "The people are bringing more than enough for the work the Lord has commanded us to do."
