7 The LORD said to Gideon, "With the three hundred men who lapped, I will save you and hand Midian over to you. Let all the others go home."
8 So the three hundred men took provisions and their trumpets. The rest of the men of Israel were sent away, each to his own home, but Gideon kept the three hundred men. Meanwhile, the camp of Midian was below him in the valley.

47 Then I asked her, 'Whose daughter are you?' She said, 'I am the daughter of Bethuel, the son of Nahor, whom Milcah bore to him.' So I put the ring on her nose and the bracelets on her arms.
17 He said to them, "Watch me and do as I do. When I get to the edge of the camp, do exactly as I do.
18 Please do not leave here until I return to you and bring my offering and set it before you.' And the Lord said, 'I will stay until you return.'
24 So I told them, 'Whoever has any gold jewelry, take it off.' They gave it to me, and I threw it into the fire, and out came this calf!"
