8Therefore, wait for me, declares the LORD, until the day I rise to testify. For my decision is to gather nations, to assemble kingdoms, to pour out upon them my indignation—all the burning heat of my anger. For in the fire of my jealousy, all the earth shall be consumed.

24I will bring the most evil of nations to take possession of their houses. I will put an end to the pride of the mighty, and their sanctuaries will be desecrated.
9I will raise weeping and wailing for the mountains and a dirge for the pastures in the wilderness, because they are burned up and desolate; no one passes through, and cattle cannot be heard anymore—birds of the sky and animals alike have fled and are gone.
