  • Rev 6:2-9 : 2 I looked, and there was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer. 3 When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, 'Come and see.' 4 Then another horse came out, fiery red. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth, so that people would kill one another, and he was given a large sword. 5 When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, 'Come and see.' I looked, and there was a black horse! Its rider held a pair of scales in his hand. 6 And I heard what seemed like a voice from among the four living creatures saying, 'A quart of wheat for a day’s wage, and three quarts of barley for a day’s wage, but do not harm the olive oil and the wine.' 7 When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, 'Come and see.' 8 I looked, and there was a pale green horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades followed closely with him. They were given authority over a fourth of the earth to kill with sword, with famine, with plague, and by the beasts of the earth. 9 When the Lamb opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. 10 They cried out with a loud voice, 'How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until You judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?' 11 Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to rest a little longer, until the full number of their fellow servants and brothers were killed just as they had been. 12 And I watched as the Lamb opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake. The sun became black like sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon turned red like blood. 13 The stars of the sky fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its unripe figs when shaken by a strong wind. 14 The sky receded like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved from its place. 15 The kings of the earth, the nobles, the wealthy, the military commanders, the mighty, and everyone—slave and free—hid themselves in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. 16 And they said to the mountains and the rocks, 'Fall on us and hide us from the face of the one seated on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!' 17 For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?
  • Rev 8:5-9 : 5 Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it upon the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning, and an earthquake. 6 The seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared to sound them. 7 The first angel blew his trumpet, and hail and fire, mixed with blood, were thrown down on the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up. 8 The second angel blew his trumpet, and something like a great mountain, burning with fire, was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea became blood. 9 A third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed. 10 The third angel blew his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky onto a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. 11 The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the water because it was made bitter. 12 The fourth angel blew his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them went dark. A third of the day did not shine, and likewise, the night.
