15 All their wickedness is at Gilgal, for there I began to hate them. Because of their evil deeds, I will drive them from My house. I will no longer love them; all their leaders are rebellious.
16 Ephraim is struck down; their root is dried up; they will bear no fruit. Even if they give birth, I will kill their cherished offspring.
17 My God will reject them because they have not obeyed Him; they will become wanderers among the nations.

9 And it will be like people, like priest. I will punish them for their ways, and repay them for their deeds.

7 But they, like Adam, have transgressed the covenant; there they dealt treacherously with Me.

9 As marauders lie in wait for someone, so a band of priests murder on the road to Shechem; they commit heinous crimes.
10 In the house of Israel I have seen a horrible thing. There Ephraim acts like a prostitute; Israel is defiled.
9 I will raise weeping and wailing for the mountains and a dirge for the pastures in the wilderness, because they are burned up and desolate; no one passes through, and cattle cannot be heard anymore—birds of the sky and animals alike have fled and are gone.
9 And the people will answer, 'Because they abandoned the LORD their God, who brought their ancestors out of Egypt, and they embraced other gods, worshiped them, and served them. That is why the LORD brought all this disaster on them.'

7 The days of punishment have come; the days of recompense have arrived—let Israel know it! The prophet is called foolish, the inspired man is viewed as insane, because of the magnitude of your sin and great hostility.
8 The watchman of Ephraim is with my God, yet the prophet is ensnared on all his paths, and hostility is in the house of his God.
15 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? No, they were not at all ashamed; they did not even know how to blush. Therefore, they shall fall among those who fall; at the time I punish them, they will stumble,” says the Lord.

18 I will first repay them double for their iniquity and their sin, because they have defiled My land with the lifeless forms of their vile images and have filled My inheritance with their abominations.
12 The guilt of Ephraim is bound up; his sin is stored away.
