    14Then the prophet Isaiah went to King Hezekiah and asked, "What did these men say, and where did they come from?" Hezekiah replied, "They came from a distant land—from Babylon."

    15"What did they see in your palace?" Isaiah asked. Hezekiah replied, "They saw everything in my palace. There is nothing in my treasuries that I did not show them."

    16Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, "Hear the word of the LORD:

    5When King Hezekiah's servants came to Isaiah,

    6Isaiah said to them, "Tell your master, 'This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid of the words you have heard, which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed Me with.'

  • 3They said to him, "This is what Hezekiah says: Today is a day of distress, rebuke, and disgrace, for children have come to the point of birth, but there is no strength to deliver them.

  • 15So Hezekiah gave all the silver that was found in the house of the LORD and in the treasuries of the king's house.

  • 28And now, O Lord GOD, you are God, and your words are truth, and you have promised this good thing to your servant.

  • 6But I will bring it health and healing, I will heal them and reveal to them an abundance of peace and truth.

  • 10Then I said, 'Ah, Lord GOD, surely you have utterly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, ‘You will have peace,’ when the sword is at their throats.'

  • 18My people will live in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in undisturbed resting places.

  • 5The Lord spoke to me again:

  • 19Then the Rab-shakeh said to them, "Tell Hezekiah: 'This is what the great king, the king of Assyria, says: What is this confidence you have?'

  • 11They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious. ‘Peace, peace,’ they say, when there is no peace.

  • 7But if you say to me, ‘We trust in the LORD our God,’ isn’t He the one whose high places and altars Hezekiah removed, saying to Judah and Jerusalem, 'You must worship at this altar’?

  • 15so now I have purposed in these days to do good to Jerusalem and the house of Judah. Do not be afraid.
