  • 12Are they ashamed of the abomination they have committed? No, they do not feel any shame. They do not even know how to blush. Therefore, they will fall among the fallen. At the time of their punishment, they will stumble, says the LORD.

  • 19Listen to the cry of my people from a land far away: 'Is the LORD not in Zion? Is her King no longer there?' Why have they provoked me to anger with their idols, with their worthless foreign gods?

  • 6From the sole of the foot even to the head, there is no soundness in it, only wounds, bruises, and raw sores. They have not been tended, or bandaged, or softened with oil.

  • 4Therefore I said, 'Turn away from me, let me weep bitterly. Do not try to comfort me concerning the destruction of my people.'

  • 13Woe to them because they have strayed from me! Destruction to them because they have rebelled against me! I long to redeem them, but they speak lies about me.

  • 3Beware of your neighbor; do not trust even a brother. Every brother utterly deceives, and every friend spreads slander.

  • 8They feed on the sins of my people; they are greedy for their iniquity.
