11Her leaders judge for a bribe, her priests teach for a price, and her prophets practice divination for silver. Yet they lean on the LORD, saying, 'Is not the LORD among us? No disaster will come upon us.'
12Therefore because of you, Zion will be plowed like a field, Jerusalem will become a heap of ruins, and the mountain of the temple will become a high place overgrown with thickets.
27The LORD said, 'I will also remove Judah from my presence as I removed Israel. I will reject this city, Jerusalem, which I chose, and the temple about which I said, ‘My name shall be there.’'
9Should I not punish them for these things? declares the Lord. Should I not take vengeance on a nation like this?
10The enemy has laid hands on all her treasures; she saw nations enter her sanctuary—those you had forbidden to enter your assembly.
16I will pronounce My judgments against them for all their evil in forsaking Me, burning incense to other gods, and worshiping the works of their own hands.
24I will bring the most evil of nations to take possession of their houses. I will put an end to the pride of the mighty, and their sanctuaries will be desecrated.
6The LORD said to me, ‘Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying: Listen to the words of this covenant and do them.’
