    21This temple, which was so exalted, will be appalling to every passerby who sees it. They will say, 'Why has the LORD done such a thing to this land and to this temple?'

  • 17If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.

  • 4'I will send it out,' declares the LORD of Hosts, 'and it will enter the house of the thief and the house of the one who swears falsely by my name. It will remain inside their house and consume it completely, including its timber and stones.'

  • 5This is what the LORD says: Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for strength and whose heart turns away from the LORD.

  • 28And now, O Lord GOD, you are God, and your words are truth, and you have promised this good thing to your servant.

  • 30For the people of Judah have done evil in my sight, declares the LORD. They have set up their detestable idols in the house that bears my name to defile it.

  • 6Into your hand I entrust my spirit; you have redeemed me, O LORD, faithful God.

  • 7The Lord has rejected his altar and disowned his sanctuary. He has delivered into the hand of the enemy the walls of her palaces. They raised their voices in the house of the LORD as on a day of appointed festival.

  • 4The LORD said, 'This is what you are to say to him: Behold, what I have built I am tearing down, and what I have planted I am uprooting—the entire land.'

  • 9This is what the LORD of Hosts says: Let your hands be strong, you who in these days hear these words from the mouths of the prophets who were present when the foundation was laid for rebuilding the temple of the LORD of Hosts.
