17You have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet you say, How have we wearied him? When you say, Everyone that does evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delights in them; or, Where is the God of justice?
13And when he came, behold, Eli sat upon a seat by the roadside watching, for his heart trembled for the ark of God. And when the man came into the city and told it, all the city cried out.
14And when Eli heard the noise of the outcry, he said, What does the noise of this tumult mean? And the man came in hastily and told Eli.
11And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall do no more any such wickedness as this among you.
12If you shall hear in one of your cities, which the LORD your God has given you to dwell there, saying,
14And Samuel said, What then is this bleating of the sheep in my ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?
4and it is told to you, and you have heard of it and diligently inquired, and indeed it is true and certain that such an abomination has been committed in Israel,
16And the man said to Eli, I am he who came out of the army, and I fled today out of the army. And he said, What happened, my son?

14Then shall you inquire, and make search, and ask diligently; and, behold, if it is true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is done among you;
11One has committed abomination with his neighbor's wife; another has lewdly defiled his daughter-in-law; and another in you has humbled his sister, his father's daughter.
1And I said, Hear, I pray you, O leaders of Jacob, and you rulers of the house of Israel; Is it not for you to know justice?
23And the man, the master of the house, went out to them and said to them, "No, my brothers, no, I beg you, do not act so wickedly, seeing this man has come into my house; do not do this disgraceful thing.
7And they said to him, Why does my lord say these words? God forbid that your servants should do such a thing as this:
3And this man went up from his city yearly to worship and to sacrifice to the LORD of hosts in Shiloh. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, the priests of the LORD, were there.
7They pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father go in to the same maid, to profane My holy name:
12Therefore thus says the LORD God of Israel, Behold, I am bringing such disaster upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whoever hears of it, both his ears will tingle.
18But to the king of Judah who sent you to inquire of the LORD, thus shall you say to him, Thus says the LORD God of Israel, As for the words which you have heard;
43Then said I to her who was old in adulteries, Will they now commit harlotries with her, and she with them?
27And there came a man of God to Eli and said to him, Thus says the LORD, Did I not plainly appear to the house of your father, when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh's house?
28And did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer upon my altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give to the house of your father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel?
29Why do you scorn my sacrifice and my offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honor your sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the best of all the offerings of Israel my people?
3And say, Hear the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem; Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring disaster upon this place, which whoever hears of it, his ears shall tingle.
10And it shall come to pass, when you show this people all these words, and they say to you, Why has the LORD pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?
17Then he said, What monument is this that I see? And the men of the city told him, It is the tomb of the man of God who came from Judah, and proclaimed these things that you have done against the altar of Bethel.
9Also I said, What you are doing is not good. Should you not walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the nations, our enemies?
11Now there dwelt an old prophet in Bethel; and his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Bethel: the words which he had spoken to the king, they told also to their father.
12And their father said to them, What way went he? For his sons had seen what way the man of God went, who came from Judah.
28Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spoke to the men and Eliab's anger burned against David. He said, Why have you come down here? With whom have you left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your pride and the wickedness of your heart, for you have come down to see the battle.
4Will you judge them, son of man, will you judge them? Make them know the abominations of their fathers:
26And as for the king of Judah, who sent you to inquire of the LORD, so shall you say to him, Thus says the LORD God of Israel concerning the words which you have heard;
3When they were near the house of Micah, they recognized the voice of the young man, the Levite; and they turned in there and said to him, Who brought you here? What are you doing in this place? What do you have here?
1Listen to this, O priests; and pay attention, O house of Israel; and give ear, O house of the king; for judgment is toward you, because you have been a snare at Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.
11Now therefore go, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, Thus says the LORD; Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a plan against you: return now everyone from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good.
12For I know your many transgressions and your mighty sins: they afflict the just, they take a bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate from their right.
13He said also to me, Turn yet again, and you shall see greater abominations that they do.
15What has my beloved to do in my house, seeing she has worked lewdness with many, and the holy flesh is passed from you? When you do evil, then you rejoice.
