7And our hope for you is steadfast, knowing that as you are partakers of the sufferings, so shall you be also of the consolation.
15For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not precede those who are asleep.
16For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18Therefore, comfort one another with these words.
14Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, 'Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints,
13But rejoice, since you are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.
12To them it was revealed that not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which have now been reported to you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things which angels desire to look into.
13Therefore, gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully on the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
11For observe this very thing, that you sorrowed in a godly manner, what diligence it produced in you, yes, what clearing of yourselves, yes, what indignation, yes, what fear, yes, what vehement desire, yes, what zeal, yes, what vindication! In all things you have proved yourselves to be clear in this matter.
4Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my boasting of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceedingly joyful in all our tribulation.
5For, when we came into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; outside were conflicts, inside were fears.
9Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are experienced by your brethren in the world.
10But the God of all grace, who has called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
7Which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.
14But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you are blessed. Do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled;
28And not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a sign of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God.
7And of the angels He says, Who makes His angels spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire.
3That no one should be unsettled by these afflictions, for you yourselves know that we are appointed to this.
16Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, who has loved us, and has given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,
17Comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work.
7So that you come short in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:
8Who shall also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
14Therefore, beloved, seeing that you look for such things, be diligent that you may be found by him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
19For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?

10I have confidence in you through the Lord, that you will think no other way; but he who troubles you shall bear his judgment, whoever he is.
8And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the breath of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
17There the wicked cease from troubling; there the weary are at rest.
13Therefore we were comforted in your comfort: yes, and exceedingly the more did we rejoice for the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all.
6And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day.
