8For God is my witness, how greatly I long for you all with the affection of Jesus Christ.
3I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
4Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,

6That the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

8Therefore, though I might be very bold in Christ to command you to do what is fitting,
3And I wrote this to you so that when I come, I would not have sorrow from those who ought to bring me joy; having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.
4For out of much trouble and anguish of heart I wrote to you with many tears; not that you should be grieved, but that you might know the love I have more abundantly toward you.
10Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect what is lacking in your faith?
12Having many things to write to you, I did not wish to do so with paper and ink; but I hope to come to you and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.
23But now having no more place in these regions, and having a great desire these many years to come to you,
28I sent him therefore the more eagerly, that when you see him again, you may rejoice, and I may be less sorrowful.
17But we, brothers, having been taken from you for a short time in presence, not in heart, endeavored more eagerly to see your face with great desire.
26That your rejoicing for me may be more abundant in Jesus Christ by my coming to you again.
10But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at last your care for me has flourished again; in which you were also caring, but you lacked opportunity.
3For I rejoiced greatly when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, even as you walk in the truth.
4I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
1For I wish that you knew what great conflict I have for you, and for those at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
13Whom I wished to keep with me, so that he might minister to me in your place in my chains for the gospel:
15Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and love for all the saints,
16Do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:
18The Lord grant to him that he may find mercy from the Lord in that day, and you know very well how many things he ministered to me at Ephesus.
26For he longed for you all, and was distressed, because you had heard that he was sick.
1Therefore, my dearly beloved and longed-for brethren, my joy and crown, so stand firm in the Lord, my dearly beloved.
9Do your diligence to come to me quickly;
20Yes, brother, let me have joy from you in the Lord: refresh my heart in the Lord.
15Moreover, I will make every effort that you may always remember these things after my departure.
4Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my boasting of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceedingly joyful in all our tribulation.

8Therefore I urge you to confirm your love toward him.
16And to pass by you into Macedonia, and to come again out of Macedonia to you, and by you to be brought on my way toward Judea.
7And not by his coming only, but by the comfort with which he was comforted in you, when he told us of your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me; so that I rejoiced even more.
4I rejoiced greatly that I found your children walking in truth, as we received a commandment from the Father.
18But it is good to be zealous in a good thing always, and not only when I am present with you.
