23 In that day, says the LORD of hosts, I will take you, O Zerubbabel, My servant, the son of Shealtiel, says the LORD, and will make you like a signet ring: for I have chosen you, says the LORD of hosts.
9 Thus says the LORD of hosts; Let your hands be strong, you who hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built.
6 Thus says the LORD of hosts; If it is marvelous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, should it also be marvelous in My eyes? says the LORD of hosts.
11 Then I answered and said to him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side of it?

8 Go up to the mountains, bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it and be glorified, says the LORD.
9 You looked for much, but indeed it came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why? says the LORD of hosts. Because of My house that is in ruins, while each of you runs to his own house.

21 And this house, which is exalted, shall be an astonishment to everyone who passes by it; so that they will say, Why has the LORD done this to this land and to this house?
12 Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him; and the people feared the presence of the LORD.
16 And it happened, when all our enemies heard of it, and all the nations around us saw these things, they were very disheartened in their own eyes; for they realized that this work was done by our God.
8 Now in the second year of their coming to the house of God at Jerusalem, in the second month, Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and the remnant of their brothers the priests and the Levites, and all those who had come out of the captivity to Jerusalem, began; and appointed the Levites, from twenty years old and upward, to oversee the work of the house of the LORD.
15 And those who are far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD, and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you. And this shall come to pass, if you will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God.
10 Then she who is my enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her who said to me, Where is the LORD your God? My eyes shall behold her; now she shall be trampled down as the mire of the streets.
11 In the day that your walls are to be built, in that day shall the decree be removed far away.
4 Then the people of the land weakened the hands of the people of Judah, and troubled them in building,
2 Thus says the LORD of hosts: This people say, 'The time has not come, the time for the LORD'S house to be built.'
11 For behold, the LORD commands, and He will strike the great house with breaches, and the little house with clefts.

15 And now, I pray you, consider from this day onward, before a stone was laid upon a stone in the temple of the LORD:
10 And the man who stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These are the ones whom the LORD has sent to walk to and fro throughout the earth.

8 Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth, except that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, says the LORD.
