18 As for the king of Judah who sent you to inquire of the LORD, you shall say to him: ‘Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel: Regarding the words you have heard,
43 Then I said about the one worn out by adultery, ‘Now they will continue their acts of fornication with her.’
27 Now a man of God came to Eli and said to him, ‘This is what the LORD says: Did I not clearly reveal Myself to your ancestors’ family when they were in Egypt under Pharaoh?’
28 Did I not choose them from all the tribes of Israel to be My priests, to go up to My altar, to burn incense, and to wear an ephod in My presence? And I gave to your forefather’s family all the offerings made by fire from the Israelites.
29 Why do you scorn My sacrifice and offering that I commanded for My dwelling? Why do you honor your sons more than Me by fattening yourselves on the best of all the offerings of My people Israel?
3 Say, ‘Hear the word of the LORD, you kings of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem. This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: I am about to bring disaster on this place that will make the ears of anyone who hears of it tingle.
10 When you tell these people all these words, they will ask you, 'Why has the LORD declared such a great calamity against us? What is our guilt? What is the sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?'
17 He asked, 'What is this monument that I see?’ The men of the city replied, 'It is the tomb of the man of God who came from Judah and proclaimed these things that you have done to the altar at Bethel.'
9 Then I said, 'What you are doing is not right. Shouldn’t you walk in the fear of our God to avoid the reproach of the nations, our enemies?'
11 Now there was an old prophet living in Bethel, and his sons came and told him all the deeds the man of God had done that day in Bethel. They also told their father the words he had spoken to the king.
12 Their father asked them, 'Which way did he go?' His sons showed him the road the man of God from Judah had taken.
28 When Eliab, David’s oldest brother, heard him speaking to the men, he became angry with David and said, 'Why have you come down here? And who did you leave those few sheep with in the wilderness? I know your pride and the wickedness of your heart; you came down only to watch the battle.'

26 But to the king of Judah who sent you to inquire of the LORD, this is what you shall say to him: 'This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says concerning the words you heard:

11 And now, say to the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, ‘Thus says the Lord: Behold, I am shaping disaster against you and devising a plan against you. Turn now, each one from his evil way, and reform your ways and deeds.’
12 For I know your many transgressions and your mighty sins: oppressing the righteous, taking bribes, and turning aside the needy at the gate.
13 And He said to me, 'You will see even greater abominations that they are committing.'
15 What right does my beloved have in my house, when she has done so many wicked schemes? Can consecrated meat remove your evil? Then you would exult!
