15 After Nathan had gone home, the Lord struck the child that Uriah’s wife had borne to David, and the child became ill.
16 David pleaded with God for the child. He fasted and spent the nights lying on the ground in sackcloth.
8 Then David said to God, "I have sinned greatly by doing this. Now, I beg You, take away the guilt of Your servant, for I have acted very foolishly."
9 The LORD then spoke to Gad, David’s seer, saying,
12 You did it in secret, but I will make this happen in front of all Israel and in broad daylight.'

16 Then King David went in and sat before the LORD, and he said: "Who am I, LORD God, and what is my house, that you have brought me this far?

2 Nathan replied to David, "Do whatever is in your heart, for God is with you."
3 But that same night, the word of God came to Nathan, saying,
23 The king was informed, "Nathan the prophet is here." So Nathan came before the king and bowed with his face to the ground.
24 Then Nathan said, "My lord the king, have you declared that Adonijah will reign after you and sit on your throne?
15 Then David called one of his young men and said, 'Come here and strike him down.' So he struck him, and he died.
16 David said to him, 'Your blood is on your own head, because your own mouth testified against you when you said, ‘I killed the LORD's anointed.’'
3 Nathan said to the king, "Go, do all that is in your heart, for the LORD is with you."
4 But that same night the word of the LORD came to Nathan,
17 David said to God, "Was it not I who gave the command to count the people? I am the one who has sinned and acted wickedly. But these sheep, what have they done? LORD my God, let Your hand fall on me and my family, but do not let this plague remain on Your people."
4 Jonathan spoke well of David to Saul, his father, saying, "The king should not sin against his servant David. He has done no wrong to you; on the contrary, his actions have greatly benefited you.
5 He risked his life to kill the Philistine, and the LORD brought about a great victory for all Israel. You saw it and rejoiced. So why would you sin by shedding innocent blood by killing David without cause?
5 Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, 'I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,' and you forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah.
4 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
1 David fled from Naioth in Ramah. He came and said to Jonathan, "What have I done? What is my guilt, and what is my sin before your father that he seeks my life?"
2 Jonathan said to him, "Far be it! You shall not die. Behold, my father does nothing great or small without revealing it to me. Why then would my father hide this matter from me? It's not so!"
21 Then Saul said, "I have sinned. Return, my son David, for I will not harm you again, because my life was precious in your sight today. Look, I have acted foolishly and have made a great mistake."

19 David noticed that his attendants were whispering among themselves, and he realized that the child was dead. 'Is the child dead?' he asked. 'Yes,' they replied, 'he is dead.'
4 The LORD will sustain him on his sickbed and restore him from his illness.
11 Then Nathan said to Bathsheba, Solomon’s mother, "Have you not heard that Adonijah, the son of Haggith, has become king, and our lord David does not know about it?"
12 "Now go, please, let me advise you so that you may save your own life and the life of your son Solomon.
10 David also said, "As surely as the LORD lives, the LORD Himself will strike him, or his day will come to die, or he will go down into battle and perish.
16 The king said, 'You shall surely die, Ahimelech, you and your whole family.'
28 Later, when David heard about this, he declared, 'I and my kingdom are forever innocent before the LORD regarding the blood of Abner son of Ner.
19 and crossed at the ford to bring the king's household over and to do whatever pleased him. When Shimei son of Gera crossed the Jordan, he fell down before the king.
30 Saul replied, 'I have sinned, but please honor me now in front of the elders of my people and before Israel. Come back with me so that I may worship the LORD your God.'
23 But David said, 'What do you and I have in common, you sons of Zeruiah? Should anyone be put to death in Israel today? Don’t I know that today I am king over Israel?'
32 King David said, "Call Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah son of Jehoiada to me." When they came before the king,
