8Then David said to God, "I have sinned greatly by doing this. Now, I beg You, take away the guilt of Your servant, for I have acted very foolishly."
13When Samuel reached him, Saul said, 'Blessed are you of the LORD! I have carried out the LORD's instruction.'
14But Samuel said, 'What is this sound of sheep and cattle that I hear?'
15Saul answered, 'They brought them from the Amalekites; the people spared the best of the sheep and cattle to sacrifice to the LORD your God, but the rest we have utterly destroyed.'
16Then Samuel said to Saul, 'Stop! Let me tell you what the LORD said to me last night.' Saul replied, 'Speak.'

11I regret that I have made Saul king, for he has turned away from following me and has not carried out my commands. This grieved Samuel, and he cried out to the LORD all night.

18And he added, "Why is my lord pursuing his servant? What have I done, and what wrong is in my hand?

But if men have done it, may they be cursed before the LORD, because they have driven me out today to prevent me from having a share in the LORD's inheritance, saying, 'Go, serve other gods.'
10David's heart was troubled after he had numbered the people. He said to the Lord, "I have sinned greatly in what I have done. Now, Lord, please take away the guilt of Your servant, for I have acted very foolishly."
9But Obadiah said, "What have I done wrong that you are handing your servant over to Ahab to be killed?"
