28Even as the words were on the king's lips, a voice came from heaven: ‘O King Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is declared: The kingdom has departed from you!'
29You will be driven away from people, and your dwelling will be with the wild animals. You will eat grass like cattle, and seven times will pass over you until you acknowledge that the Most High is sovereign over the kingdoms of men and gives them to whomever He pleases.
4"Take the waistband you bought and are wearing, arise, go to the Euphrates, and hide it there in a cleft of the rock."
5So I went and hid it by the Euphrates, just as the LORD commanded me.
6After many days, the LORD said to me, "Arise, go to the Euphrates, and retrieve the waistband from the place where I hid it."
2In the vision I saw myself in the citadel of Susa, which is in the province of Elam. In the vision, I was beside the Ulai canal.
1In the eleventh year, in the third month, on the first day of the month, the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
6He asked me, 'Son of man, do you see this?' Then he led me back to the bank of the river.
8I will tie you up with ropes so that you cannot turn from one side to the other until you have completed the days of your siege.
9Take wheat, barley, beans, lentils, millet, and spelt, put them in one container, and make bread for yourself. For the number of days that you lie on your side—three hundred ninety days—you will eat it.
10The amount you eat each day will be twenty shekels by weight, and you will eat it at set times each day.
4When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned, fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven.
9Then I heard the sound of his words, and as I heard them, I fell into a deep sleep, my face to the ground.
10A hand touched me and set me trembling on my hands and knees.
15On the twenty-fourth day of the sixth month, in the second year of Darius the king.
16Then one who looked like a man touched my lips, and I opened my mouth and began to speak. I said to the one standing before me, 'My lord, because of the vision my pains have overwhelmed me, and I have no strength left.'
