26The LORD of Hosts will stir up a scourge against them as He did at the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb; and He will raise His staff over the sea as He did in Egypt.
13I have raised him up in righteousness and I will make all his ways straight. He will rebuild my city and set my exiles free, not for a price or reward, says the LORD of Hosts.
7This is what the Sovereign Lord says: It will not take place; it will not happen.

10Devise your plans, but they will be thwarted; issue your orders, but they will not stand, for God is with us.
14Will your heart stand firm? Will your hands be strong when I deal with you? I, the LORD, have spoken, and I will do it.

12Raise a banner against the walls of Babylon! Strengthen the guard, post the watchmen, prepare ambushes, for the Lord has planned and carried out what He purposed against the inhabitants of Babylon.
25In that day,” declares the LORD of Hosts, “the peg that was driven into the firm place will be removed; it will be cut down and fall, and the load hanging on it will be destroyed. For the LORD has spoken.

13For by myself I have sworn, declares the LORD, that Bozrah will become a horror, a disgrace, a waste, and a curse. All her cities will become perpetual ruins.
10Now, have I attacked this land to destroy it without the LORD’s approval? The LORD Himself told me, 'Go up against this land and destroy it.'
14So I will do to the house that bears my name, in which you trust, and to the place I gave to you and your ancestors, just as I did to Shiloh.
9'And I will be a wall of fire around her,' declares the LORD, 'and I will be the glory within her.'
28Just as I watched over them to uproot, tear down, demolish, destroy, and bring disaster, so I will watch over them to build and to plant, declares the LORD.
3I declared the former things long ago; they went forth from my mouth, and I made them known. Suddenly, I acted, and they came to pass.
14Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will fulfill the good promise I have made to the house of Israel and the house of Judah.
14Assemble, all of you, and listen! Who among them declared these things? The LORD loves him; He will carry out His purpose against Babylon, and His arm will be against the Chaldeans.
33Therefore, this is what the LORD says about the king of Assyria: He will not enter this city or shoot an arrow here. He will not come before it with a shield or build a siege ramp against it.
34By the way he came, he will return; he will not enter this city, declares the LORD.
7This will be the sign to you from the LORD that He will do what He has promised.
3The earth will be utterly laid waste and completely plundered, for the Lord has spoken this word.
