13Woe to them because they have strayed from me! Destruction to them because they have rebelled against me! I long to redeem them, but they speak lies about me.
14They do not cry out to me from their hearts but wail on their beds. They gather together for grain and new wine but turn away from me.
15I disciplined them and strengthened their arms, yet they devise evil against me.

15Yet My people have forgotten Me; they burn incense to worthless idols. They have stumbled in their ways, on ancient paths, and have strayed onto byways, roads not built up.
8The priests did not ask, ‘Where is the LORD?’ Those who handle the law did not know me; the shepherds rebelled against me; the prophets prophesied by Baal and followed worthless things.
2Rebels have gone deep into slaughter, but I am disciplining them all.
15I sent all My servants the prophets to you persistently, saying: 'Turn now, each one of you, from your evil ways and correct your deeds. Do not follow other gods to serve them. 5They say, 'Keep away; do not come near me, for I am holier than you.' These are like smoke in my nostrils, a fire that burns all day long.

4There will be nothing left but to bow down among prisoners or fall among the slain. Yet for all this, His anger has not turned away, and His hand is still stretched out.
26But they were disobedient and rebelled against You. They cast Your law behind their backs and killed Your prophets who warned them to turn back to You. They committed terrible blasphemies.

13So the LORD will cut off from Israel both head and tail, both palm branch and reed in a single day.
