14Let me alone, so I may destroy them and blot out their name from under heaven. Then I will make you into a nation stronger and more numerous than they are.'
3Go to a land flowing with milk and honey. But I will not go with you, because you are a stiff-necked people, and I might destroy you on the way.
16But they, our ancestors, acted arrogantly. They stiffened their necks and did not obey Your commandments.
17They refused to listen and did not remember the wonders You performed among them. They stiffened their necks and appointed a leader to return to their slavery in Egypt. But You are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abundant in faithful love, and You did not abandon them.
18Even when they made a molten calf for themselves and said, 'This is your god who brought you out of Egypt,' and they committed terrible blasphemies,
16Therefore, circumcise the foreskin of your hearts and do not be stiff-necked any longer.
16I saw that you had sinned against the LORD your God. You had made a molten calf for yourselves. You had quickly turned aside from the way the LORD had commanded you.
26I prayed to the LORD and said, 'O Lord GOD, do not destroy your people, your inheritance, whom you redeemed through your greatness and brought out of Egypt with a strong hand.
27Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Do not focus on the stubbornness of this people, their wickedness, or their sin.
9He said, "If I have found favor in your eyes, O Lord, please let the Lord go with us. Although this is a stiff-necked people, forgive our iniquity and our sin, and make us Your inheritance."
10The LORD responded, "I am making a covenant with you. Before all your people I will perform wonders never before done in any nation or all the earth. All the people among whom you live will see the work of the LORD, for it is an awesome thing that I will do with you.
9These are a rebellious people, deceitful children, unwilling to listen to the LORD's instruction.
14But they would not listen. Instead, they hardened their necks like their fathers who did not believe in the Lord their God.
11For this is what the Lord said to me with a strong hand, warning me not to follow the way of this people:
11The LORD said to Moses, "How long will these people treat me with contempt? How long will they refuse to believe in me, despite all the signs I have performed among them?
1Then the LORD said to me: 'Even if Moses and Samuel were to stand before Me, My heart would not go out to these people. Send them away from My presence and let them go.'
8Now do not harden your necks as your ancestors did. Submit to the LORD; come to His sanctuary, which He has consecrated forever. Serve the LORD your God so that His fierce anger will turn away from you.
27For I know how rebellious and stiff-necked you are. If you have been rebellious against the LORD while I am still alive and with you, how much more will you rebel after my death!
7But the house of Israel will not be willing to listen to you, for they are not willing to listen to me. The entire house of Israel is hard-headed and stubborn-hearted.
26But they did not listen to me or incline their ear; instead, they stiffened their necks and did worse than their ancestors.
29You warned them to return to Your law, but they acted arrogantly and did not obey Your commandments. They sinned against Your judgments, which, if a person does, they will live by them. Stubbornly, they turned their backs, stiffened their necks, and would not listen.
24You have been rebellious against the LORD from the day I first knew you.
4The descendants are obstinate and hardhearted. I am sending you to them, and you shall say to them, 'This is what the Lord GOD says.'
13But Moses said to the LORD, "The Egyptians will hear about it! By your power you brought these people up from among them.
23But this people has a stubborn and rebellious heart; they have turned aside and gone away.
9You have done more evil than all who came before you. You have gone and made other gods and cast images to provoke Me to anger, and you have turned your back on Me.
15This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: I am about to bring upon this city and all its surrounding towns all the disaster I pronounced against them, because they have stiffened their necks and refused to listen to My words.
9"This is what the LORD says: 'In this way I will ruin the pride of Judah and the great pride of Jerusalem.
13Then the Lord said to Moses, 'Get up early in the morning, present yourself to Pharaoh and say to him, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, says: Let my people go, so that they may worship me.’
1The LORD said to Moses, "Go to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the hearts of his officials, so that I may perform these signs of mine among them."
19But I ask, did Israel not understand? First, Moses says: 'I will make you jealous of those who are not a nation; with a foolish nation, I will make you angry.'
4Because I knew how stubborn you are, with your neck as iron sinew and your forehead like bronze,
8Even at Horeb, you provoked the LORD to anger, and the LORD was angry enough with you to destroy you.
20Therefore, the anger of the LORD burned against Israel, and he said, 'Because this nation has violated the covenant I commanded their ancestors and has not listened to my voice,'
23Yet they did not listen or incline their ear. They stiffened their necks and would not listen or take correction.
7then I will cut off Israel from the land I have given them, and I will reject this temple I have consecrated for My name. Israel will then become a proverb and an object of ridicule among all peoples.
26But the LORD was angry with me because of you and would not listen to me. Instead, the LORD said to me, ‘That is enough! Do not speak to Me anymore about this matter.’
13Instead, they followed the stubbornness of their hearts and went after the Baals, as their fathers taught them.
14Then the Lord said to Moses, "Pharaoh’s heart is stubborn; he refuses to let the people go.
1Hear this word that the Lord has spoken against you, O people of Israel, against the whole family that I brought up from the land of Egypt:
13The Lord says: 'These people come near to me with their mouths and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their reverence for me is based on merely human rules they have been taught.'
