16The Lord said to him, 'I will be with you, and you will strike down Midian as if it were one man.'
10Jacob said, 'No, please, if I have found favor in your eyes, accept this gift from me. Seeing your face is like seeing the face of God, now that you have accepted me.'
11Please accept the blessing that was brought to you, for God has been gracious to me, and I have all I need.' And because Jacob insisted, Esau accepted it.

31Moses said, "Please do not leave us, because you know where we should camp in the wilderness, and you will be our eyes.

36Gideon said to God, 'If you are truly going to use me to save Israel as you have promised,
37Look, I am placing a fleece of wool on the threshing floor. If dew is only on the fleece, and the ground remains dry, then I will know that you will deliver Israel by my hand, as you have said.
22When Gideon realized that it was the angel of the Lord, he exclaimed, 'Alas, Sovereign Lord! I have seen the angel of the Lord face to face!'
12Now then, please swear to me by the LORD that you will show kindness to my family because I have shown kindness to you. Give me a sure sign
5They said, "If we have found favor in your sight, let this land be given to your servants as a possession. Do not make us cross the Jordan."
19"Your servant has found favor in your eyes, and you have shown great kindness to me by sparing my life. But I can’t flee to the mountains; this disaster will overtake me, and I’ll die.
7Once these signs come to pass, do whatever your hand finds to do, for God is with you.

39Then Gideon said to God, 'Please do not be angry with me, but let me make one more request. Allow me to test just once more with the fleece. Let the fleece remain dry, while dew covers the ground around it.'
19Now please stay here tonight as well, so that I may find out what else the LORD may say to me.
25the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you;
17Then Eli answered, 'Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant you what you have asked of Him.'
13But Moses said, 'Pardon me, Lord. Please send someone else.'
