  • 11 Thus says the LORD; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away its punishment; because he pursued his brother with the sword, and cast off all pity, and his anger tore perpetually, and he kept his wrath forever:

  • 4 Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children who are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel to anger, they have gone away backward.

  • 9 Therefore I will yet plead with you, says the LORD, and with your children's children will I plead.

  • 12 And you shall know that I am the LORD: for you have not walked in my statutes, nor executed my judgments, but have done according to the ways of the nations that are around you.
