6Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock at Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.
22And at Taberah, and at Massah, and at Kibroth-hattaavah, you provoked the LORD to wrath.
14For you rebelled against my command in the desert of Zin, during the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: this is the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.
15And Moses spoke to the LORD, saying,
3And he called the name of the place Taberah, because the fire of the LORD burned among them.
51Because you trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah-Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because you did not sanctify me in the midst of the children of Israel.
16You shall not tempt the LORD your God, as you tempted him in Massah.
23And when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.
24And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?
25And he cried to the LORD; and the LORD showed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he tested them,
10But all the congregation threatened to stone them with stones. And the glory of the LORD appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel.
11And the LORD said to Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be before they believe me, for all the signs which I have shown among them?
32They angered him also at the waters of strife, so that it went badly with Moses for their sakes;
2And the whole congregation of the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness.
26And the LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
27How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmurs against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me.
7You called in trouble, and I delivered you; I answered you in the secret place of thunder; I tested you at the waters of Meribah. Selah.
27And you murmured in your tents, and said, Because the LORD hates us, He has brought us out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us.
8Then Amalek came and fought with Israel in Rephidim.
7And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
8"Take the rod, and gather the assembly together, you and Aaron your brother, and speak to the rock before their eyes, and it will yield its water; thus you shall bring water for them out of the rock, and give drink to the congregation and their livestock."
2And there was no water for the congregation, so they gathered themselves together against Moses and Aaron.
40How often did they provoke him in the wilderness, and grieve him in the desert!
17But with whom was He grieved forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?
9When your fathers tested Me, proved Me, and saw My works forty years.
34And the LORD heard the sound of your words, and was angry, and swore, saying,
4And why have you brought the congregation of the LORD into this wilderness so that we and our livestock should die here?
22Because all those men who have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not listened to my voice;
16And from there they went to Beer: that is the well of which the LORD spoke to Moses, Gather the people together, and I will give them water.
34And he called the name of that place Kibroth Hattaavah, because there they buried the people that lusted.
24"Aaron shall be gathered to his people, for he shall not enter the land which I have given to the children of Israel, because you rebelled against My word at the water of Meribah.
2And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said to them, Would that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would that we had died in this wilderness!
41But on the next day all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, You have killed the people of the LORD.
8Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
7Remember, and do not forget, how you provoked the LORD your God to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that you departed out of the land of Egypt, until you came to this place, you have been rebellious against the LORD.
8Also in Horeb you provoked the LORD to wrath, so that the LORD was angry with you to destroy you.
15And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it The LORD is my banner:
20Behold, he struck the rock, that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed; can he give bread also? can he provide flesh for his people?
15Who led you through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought you water out of the rock of flint;
15And the LORD said to Moses, Why do you cry to me? speak to the children of Israel, that they go forward:
7And in the morning, you shall see the glory of the LORD; for he hears your complaints against the LORD: and what are we, that you complain against us?
10And the LORD's anger was kindled at that time, and he swore, saying,
