And he said, Hear now, O house of David; is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will you weary my God also?

12To whom he said, This is the rest with which you may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
13Behold, is it not of the LORD of hosts that the people shall labor in the very fire, and the people shall weary themselves for mere vanity?
13Your words have been harsh against me, says the LORD. Yet you say, 'What have we spoken against you?'.
14You have said, 'It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts?'.
7O you who are named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD restricted? Are these his doings? Do not my words do good to him who walks uprightly?
3O my people, what have I done to you? And how have I wearied you? Testify against Me.

12Will you refrain yourself for these things, O LORD? Will you hold your peace, and afflict us very sore?
3And they said to him, Thus says Hezekiah, This day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of blasphemy: for the children have come to the birth, and there is no strength to bring forth.
7Yet you have not listened to Me, says the LORD; that you might provoke Me to anger with the works of your hands to your own harm.
4Then the word of the LORD came to Isaiah, saying,
5Then I said, O Lord GOD, cease, I beg you: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.
1The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, says the LORD, who stretches forth the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him.
18Did not your fathers do this, and did not our God bring all this disaster on us and on this city? Yet you bring added wrath on Israel by profaning the Sabbath.
23Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
13And now, because you have done all these works, says the LORD, and I spoke to you, rising up early and speaking, but you did not listen; and I called you, but you did not answer;
15What do you mean by crushing My people, and grinding the faces of the poor? says the Lord, the LORD of hosts.
