Saying to a tree, You are my father; and to a stone, You have brought me forth: for they have turned their back to me, and not their face: but in the time of their trouble they will say, Arise, and save us.

22 Return, you backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come to you; for you are the LORD our God.

4 Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children who are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel to anger, they have gone away backward.
16 Doubtless you are our Father, though Abraham is ignorant of us, and Israel does not acknowledge us: you, O LORD, are our Father, our Redeemer; your name is from everlasting.
