29 Should I not punish them for these things? declares the Lord. Should I not avenge Myself on such a nation as this?

14 The LORD enters into judgment against the elders and leaders of His people: 'It is you who have ruined the vineyard; the plunder taken from the poor is in your houses.'
15 'Why do you crush My people and grind the faces of the poor?' declares the Lord, the LORD of Hosts.
10 The leaders of Judah are like those who move boundary stones; I will pour out my wrath on them like water.
12 Woe to him who builds a city with bloodshed and establishes a town with injustice!
15 Woe to those who go to great depths to hide their plans from the LORD, who do their work in darkness and think, 'Who sees us? Who knows us?'
29 The people of the land practice extortion and commit robbery; they oppress the poor and needy and mistreat the foreigner, denying them justice.
10 Hear the word of the LORD, you rulers of Sodom; listen to the instruction of our God, you people of Gomorrah.

3 This is what the LORD says: Practice justice and righteousness. Rescue the one who has been robbed from the hand of the oppressor. Do not mistreat or harm the foreigner, the fatherless, or the widow. Do not shed innocent blood in this place.

17 But your eyes and heart are set only on your dishonest gain, on shedding innocent blood, and on oppression and violence.
9 Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.
1 Then I said: "Hear now, leaders of Jacob and rulers of the house of Israel: Is it not your responsibility to know justice?
31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own authority. And My people love it this way. But what will you do in the end?
