    21Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, 'This is the way; walk in it.'

    22Then you will defile your idols overlaid with silver and your images covered with gold; you will throw them away like a menstrual cloth and say to them, 'Away with you!'

    15For the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel, has said: 'In repentance and rest you will be saved; in quietness and trust is your strength. But you were not willing.'

    16You said, 'No, we will flee on horses'—therefore you will flee! And, 'We will ride on swift horses'—therefore your pursuers will be swift!

  • 8But you have turned aside from the way, and by your teaching have caused many to stumble. You have violated the covenant with Levi, says the Lord of Hosts.

  • 13We have rebelled and denied the LORD; we have turned away from following our God. We speak of oppression and revolt, conceiving lies and uttering them from the heart.

  • 7They also shut the doors of the vestibule, extinguished the lamps, and did not burn incense or offer burnt offerings in the holy place to the God of Israel.

  • 14The Lord has given a command concerning you, Nineveh: 'Your name will no longer be perpetuated. Out of the house of your gods I will destroy the carved image and the cast idol. I will prepare your grave, for you are vile.'

  • 6Therefore, this is what the Lord of Hosts says: Behold, I will refine them and test them, for what else can I do because of the sin of my people?

  • 27Why do you say, Jacob, and complain, Israel, 'My way is hidden from the Lord; my cause is disregarded by my God'?

  • 6And I will remove those who turn back from following the Lord, who do not seek the Lord or inquire of Him.
