Now when this people, a prophet, or a priest asks you, 'What is the burden of the LORD?' you are to answer them: 'You are the burden, and I will cast you off, declares the LORD.'

16 This is what the LORD of Hosts says: Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you. They are filling you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD.
17 They keep saying to those who despise the LORD, ‘The LORD says you will have peace.’ And to everyone who walks in the stubbornness of his heart they say, ‘No harm will come to you.’
6 They have seen false visions and lying divinations. They say, ‘This is the declaration of the LORD,’ when the LORD has not sent them, and they hope to fulfill their words.
7 Haven’t you seen a false vision and spoken a lying divination when you say, ‘Thus says the LORD,’ but I have not spoken?
13 But I said, "Ah, Sovereign LORD, the prophets are telling them, 'You will not see the sword or suffer famine, but I will give you lasting peace in this place.'"
14 The LORD said to me: "The prophets are prophesying lies in My name. I did not send them, command them, or speak to them. They are seeing false visions, giving worthless divinations and deceitful messages from their own hearts.
15 Therefore, this is what the LORD says about the prophets who prophesy in My name, though I did not send them, and who declare, 'No sword or famine will touch this land': By sword and famine, those prophets will meet their end.
16 And the people to whom they are prophesying will be thrown into the streets of Jerusalem because of famine and sword. There will be no one to bury them—them, their wives, their sons, or their daughters. I will pour out their wickedness upon them.
21 This is what the LORD says: 'Be careful not to carry any load on the Sabbath day, or bring it through the gates of Jerusalem.'
26 But to the king of Judah who sent you to inquire of the LORD, this is what you shall say to him: 'This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says concerning the words you heard:
23 therefore you will no longer see false visions or practice divination. I will rescue my people from your hands, and you will know that I am the LORD.
35 Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: 'Because you have forgotten me and thrust me behind your back, you must also bear the consequences of your lewdness and prostitution.'

17 You have wearied the Lord with your words. Yet you ask, 'How have we wearied Him?' By saying, 'Everyone who does evil is good in the eyes of the Lord, and He delights in them,' or 'Where is the God of justice?'
17 Therefore, this is what the Lord says: You have not obeyed me by proclaiming freedom, each one to his brother and to his neighbor. So now, I proclaim freedom for you, declares the Lord—freedom to the sword, to plague, and to famine. I will make you a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth.
15 Then the prophet Jeremiah said to the prophet Hananiah, 'Listen now, Hananiah, the LORD has not sent you, but you have led this people to trust in falsehood.'
6 'You have rejected Me,' declares the LORD. 'You keep going backward. So I have stretched out My hand against you and destroyed you; I am tired of relenting.'
10 This is what the LORD says about this people: They love to wander; they do not restrain their feet. So the LORD does not accept them; now He will remember their guilt and punish their sins.
21 But if you refuse to surrender, this is the word the LORD has shown me:
11 Her leaders judge for a bribe, her priests teach for a price, and her prophets practice divination for silver. Yet they lean on the LORD, saying, 'Is not the LORD among us? No disaster will come upon us.'
10 They say to the seers, 'See no more visions!' and to the prophets, 'Give us no more visions of what is right! Tell us pleasant things, prophesy illusions.'
13 Your words against me have been harsh, says the Lord. But you ask, 'What have we spoken against you?
5 This is what the LORD says: ‘What fault did your ancestors find in me that they strayed so far from me? They pursued worthless idols and became worthless themselves.
10 This is what the Lord GOD says, 'Behold, I am against the shepherds, and I will demand My flock from their hand and stop them from shepherding My flock. The shepherds will no longer feed themselves, for I will rescue My flock from their mouths, so it will no longer be food for them.'
