  • 12 They have lied about the Lord and said, 'He won't do anything! No disaster will come upon us; we will not see sword or famine.'

  • 17 This is from the taunts of those who insult and revile, from the presence of the enemy and the avenger.

  • 19 The LORD has spoken to you, remnant of Judah: Do not go to Egypt. Be certain of this: I have warned you today.

  • 4 And you shall say to them, 'The LORD says: If you do not listen to Me and follow My law which I have set before you...

  • 14 As for you, do not pray for this people or lift up a cry or petition for them, for I will not listen to them when they cry out to me because of their disaster.

  • 26 But to the king of Judah who sent you to inquire of the LORD, this is what you shall say to him: 'This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says concerning the words you heard:

  • 34 Our kings, leaders, priests, and ancestors did not obey Your law or pay attention to Your commandments and warnings You gave them.

  • 10 When you tell these people all these words, they will ask you, 'Why has the LORD declared such a great calamity against us? What is our guilt? What is the sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?'

  • 11 Therefore, this is what the LORD says: ‘I am bringing disaster upon them from which they cannot escape. Even though they will cry out to me, I will not listen to them.’

  • 12 Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying:
