And now, O LORD my God, you have made your servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in.

6 And Solomon said, You have shown to your servant David my father great mercy, as he walked before you in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with you; and you have kept for him this great kindness, that you have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.

12 Wisdom and knowledge is granted to you; and I will give you riches, and wealth, and honor, such as none of the kings have had that have been before you, neither shall any after you have the like.

35 Then you shall come up after him, that he may come and sit upon my throne; for he shall be king in my place; and I have appointed him to be ruler over Israel and over Judah.
16 And David the king came and sat before the LORD, and said, Who am I, O LORD God, and what is my house, that you have brought me this far?
17 And yet this was a small thing in your eyes, O God; for you have also spoken of your servant's house for a great while to come, and have regarded me according to the estate of a man of high degree, O LORD God.
18 Then King David went in and sat before the LORD, and he said, Who am I, O Lord GOD? and what is my house, that you have brought me this far?
19 And this was yet a small thing in your sight, O Lord GOD; but you have spoken also of your servant's house for a great while to come. And is this the manner of man, O Lord GOD?
20 And what can David say more to you? for you, Lord GOD, know your servant.
21 For your word's sake, and according to your own heart, you have done all these great things, to make your servant know them.
7 Now therefore thus shall you say to my servant David, Thus says the LORD of hosts, I took you from the sheepfold, even from following the sheep, that you should be ruler over my people Israel:
5 And of all my sons, (for the LORD has given me many sons,) he has chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel.
6 And he said to me, Solomon your son, he shall build my house and my courts: for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.
37 As the LORD has been with my lord the king, so may He be with Solomon, and make his throne greater than the throne of my lord King David.
46 And also Solomon sits on the throne of the kingdom.
47 Moreover, the king's servants came to bless our lord King David, saying, May God make the name of Solomon better than your name, and make his throne greater than your throne. And the king bowed himself upon the bed.
8 Now therefore, so shall you say to my servant David, Thus says the LORD of hosts, I took you from the pasture, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel:
19 And give to Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep Your commandments, Your testimonies, and Your statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace, for which I have made provision.
1 And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the LORD his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly.
12 Behold, I have done according to your words: lo, I have given you a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like you before you, nor shall any arise like unto you.
13 And I have also given you what you have not asked, both riches and honor, so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto you all your days.
23 Then Solomon sat on the throne of the LORD as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him.
11 Now, my son, the LORD be with you; and prosper you, and build the house of the LORD your God, as he has said of you.
26 And now, LORD, you are God, and have promised this goodness to your servant:
33 The king also said to them, Take with you the servants of your lord, and cause Solomon my son to ride upon my own mule, and bring him down to Gihon.
25 Therefore now, LORD God of Israel, keep with your servant David my father what you promised him, saying, There shall not fail you a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; if only your children take heed to their way, that they walk before me as you have walked before me.

16 Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with your servant David my father what you have promised him, saying, There shall not fail you a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that your children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as you have walked before me.
30 even as I swore to you by the LORD God of Israel, saying, Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne in my place; even so will I certainly do this day.
7 And David said to Solomon, My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build a house unto the name of the LORD my God:
25 And now, O LORD God, the word that you have spoken concerning your servant and concerning his house, establish it forever, and do as you have said.
17 And she said to him, My lord, you swore by the LORD your God to your servant, saying, Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne.
18 And now, behold, Adonijah reigns; and now, my lord the king, you do not know it.
27 For you, O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, have revealed to your servant, saying, I will build you a house: therefore your servant has found in his heart to pray this prayer to you.
12 Now therefore come, let me, I pray you, give you advice, that you may save your own life, and the life of your son Solomon.
13 Go and approach King David, and say to him, Did you not, my lord, O king, swear to your servant, saying, Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne? Why then does Adonijah reign?
19 O LORD, for your servant's sake, and according to your own heart, have you done all this greatness, in making known all these great things.
3 You know how David my father could not build a house for the name of the LORD his God because of the wars that surrounded him on every side, until the LORD put them under the soles of his feet.
