    19Over time, after two years, his intestines came out because of his illness, and he died in terrible suffering. His people did not hold a fire in his honor, as they had done for his ancestors.

  • 6From the sole of the foot even to the head, there is no soundness in it, only wounds, bruises, and raw sores. They have not been tended, or bandaged, or softened with oil.

  • 10Zimri came in, struck him down, and killed him in the twenty-seventh year of Asa, king of Judah, and reigned in his place.

  • 8When Asa heard these words and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, removed the detestable idols from the whole land of Judah and Benjamin and from the towns he had captured in the hill country of Ephraim. He restored the altar of the LORD that was in front of the LORD’s temple.
