  • 15 Joshua said to them, 'If you are so numerous, go up into the forest and clear land for yourselves there in the territory of the Perizzites and the Rephaim, since the hill country of Ephraim is too narrow for you.'

  • 25 This day I will begin to put the dread and fear of you upon all the peoples under the heavens. When they hear reports of you, they will tremble and be in anguish because of you.'

  • 19 the great trials that your eyes saw, the signs, the wonders, the mighty hand, and the outstretched arm by which the LORD your God brought you out. The LORD your God will do the same to all the peoples you fear.

  • 9 He said to his people, "Look, the people of Israel have become too numerous and too powerful for us.

  • 3 The LORD your God himself will cross ahead of you. He will destroy these nations before you, and you shall take possession of them. Joshua will cross ahead of you, as the LORD has said.

  • 21 See, the LORD your God has set the land before you. Go up and take possession of it, just as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has promised you. Do not be afraid or discouraged.

  • 29 as the descendants of Esau who live in Seir and the Moabites who live in Ar did for me—until I cross the Jordan into the land that the LORD our God is giving us.'
